What we collect and why
- Quote and contact requests. When you use our quote, contact or distributor forms, we collect your name, email address, the product you select and your message. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and to prepare a quotation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- Emails you send us. If you email us directly, we keep your email address and the content of your message to handle your request.
- Website analytics. With your consent, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security logs. Our security software (Wordfence) records IP addresses and request details to protect the site against attacks and spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email and text you submit, plus your IP address and browser details for spam detection.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Cookies and embedded content
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the website (for example, security and session cookies). Analytics cookies and embedded content that sets cookies are only loaded after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Some pages include content from other websites, such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website, and that website may collect data about you under its own privacy policy. Our site also uses a translation widget (GTranslate) and fonts delivered by Google, which receive your IP address when they load.
Who we share data with
We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as much as they need:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its data
- Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, YouTube and fonts)
- GTranslate (translation widget)
- Our email provider, which delivers form submissions and emails to us
- Our distributors in your country, but only if you ask to be put in touch with one
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
We are based in Thailand, and some of our service providers are in the United States and other countries. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, your data will be transferred outside it. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider’s participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries and quotation correspondence: up to 3 years after our last contact, unless it leads to an order
- Records linked to orders: as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Analytics data: 14 months
- Security logs: up to 90 days
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the UK and EU GDPR or Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use your data
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing done before you withdrew
To use any of these rights, email info@alumixinsulationglobal.com. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK, your national authority in the EU, or the PDPC in Thailand.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use security software and access controls to protect the data we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
